* For last minute booking, a full payment is required to confirm your reservation and as it is difficult for the client to wire the payment, we will accept cash (2003 or newer, unmarked USD banknotes – F series or newer only) on arrival. However, a credit card authorization form will need to be used to ensure deposit requirements are met. This form will need to be accompanied by photocopies of both sides of the credit card, a photocopy of holder’s passport, and written authorization.
* Deposits will be refunded in full less USD500.00, if the reservation is cancelled 61 days or more prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 61 days prior to arrival (or 91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the deposit will be forfeited.
* Final Payments are non refundable
* A US$100.00 administration fee will apply to each change after a booking has been confirmed. Changes cannot necessarily be accommodated in all cases.

* The villa disclaims any and all liability of property loss or damage, as well as injury including death sustained by any person whilst residing at the villa or while engaged on any tour whether the loss or injury occurs as a result of breach of contractual obligations of the villa, it's owners, staff, employees or agent.

Marie Claire magazine chose Villa Home for their island style article (spring edition 2004); this in itself says so much about the charm, style and contemporary fell of Villa Home. This three bedroom villa is situated a short walk away from the beach and The Indian ocean in one of the most sought after addresses on the island, Batu Belig (meaning-slippery rock). You will be within a few minute drive of all the best restaurants on the island, and yet undisturbed by traffic noise. Other than the odd falling coconut to disturb the peace, this is the ideal location if you are looking for tranquility, but still want to be in the middle of things.

The property has three thatched roofed buildings connected by deck or stepping stones (not at all slippery). Building one is home to two double bedrooms and their ensuite alfresco bathrooms. The second building contains living and dining areas, and at a slightly lower level, the kitchen. The third building is host to the master bedroom and bathroom.

On the entering the villa through a huge antique doorway you will be face a 16 meter pool and its beach area, ideal for kids, and large enough for laps. The living area, almost a continuation of the pool, is completely open and surrounded by huge heliconia bougainvillea and red Thai palms. The combination of unexpected textures in the kitchen creates a wonderful relaxed and inviting atmosphere. With handmade curved terracotta flagstones underfoot and stainless steel work tops, function and charm combine to make this a much used part of the villa. There is also a bar attached to the kitchen. The dining table, antique Javanese, seats eight people, and provides views to the pool and the river.

The master bedroom at the rear of the property, is truly a room made for romance and relaxation. It looks out onto river and the terraced gardens. The bedroom is on two levels on the lower level is a wonderful egg-shaped sunken bath big enough for two. Although fully air conditioned, it can be completely opened up through sliding glass doors onto the stilted decking surround. The king size bed on the upper level has a suspended mosquito net, giving it a soft four poster feel. The forty inch screen television is housed here and has a full satellite provision. Open the antique mother of pearl doorway and you find yourself in the outside bathroom. The pink pebbled floor leads you to the outside shower; banana palms and bamboo provide privacy, the sky provides your roof. The twin hand basins are antique bowls set into polished cement.

Bedrooms two and three both allow views onto the pool. They both have polished white wooden floors, double beds with suspended mosquito nets and Bedouin style wardrobes. There are wooden shelves with wicker basket draws for your belongings. Opening the mother of pearl doors will take you out to the bathrooms. In bathroom two you will find a free standing, hand sculpted egg shaped bath with blue skies or stars as your roof. The hand basins are antique bowls set into polished cement. In bathroom three you will find a shower with a semi circular stone base as well as an antique lounge bed. Both bathrooms have antique ladders on which to hang towels. All the bedrooms have original artwork from the owner, huge colourful canvases of tropical flowers fruits and shells, which really set the mood for a tropical holiday.
The villa is fully staffed with maids, chef, gardener, security guard and pool attendant. The chef will astound you with her aromatic lemongrass chicken curries, and her chicken sate, cooked slowly over coals; it is second to none. Fish cooked in banana leaf, vegetable spring rolls, and her endless fruit and vegetable juices will keep you well fed and nourished during your stay at Villa Home.

The overall mood of Villa Home is relaxed charm. Its enormous success as a holiday rental home owes firstly to the superb location, and to the careful attention to detail that has created a home with character without sacrificing convenience or home comforts.
